Early Saturday morning, a user called iRimas posted pictures of the rumored successor to the Sony Xperia Z1.

According to iRimas, the model number is the D6503 and will feature a 5.2-inch display, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and a new user interface. However, the user says that the software still has many bugs, as the phone crashes on him "all the time".

The model number implies that the phone will be a successor to the Xperia ZL rather than the Z1, but the specs are very similar to the Z1.The device will feature a 20.7MP camera on the back, similar to the Z1, Z1s, and Z1 Compact phones. There have also been rumors that Sony is working on the Xperia Z2 with a 5.2-inch display and 20.7MP camera. However, the rumors all say the Z2 will feature Android 4.4 KitKat, not 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The device is rumored to be released at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month.
