Today, Sony has announced that you have a chance to get back $10 dollars from PSN. All you have to do is spend $50 from your Sony Entertainment Network account. The promotion lasts from today (February 26) to the end of March, and there are a number of games that are coming out in March (that you will even be able to pre-order starting tomorrow) that would cost you more than $50 if you picked them up new anyway.
Some of the more anticipated releases coming out include the third entry in the Bioshock franchise, Bioshock Infinite. By pre-ordering this, however, you would get more than just the $10 back, as the pre-order bonus also includes (you get the bonus if you grab the Bioshock Infinite Season Pass as well) a free exclusive theme, The Industrial Revolution Gear Pack for Bioshock Infinite, and even the original Bioshock game, so you can delve into Rapture as you wait to play Infinite. Bioshock Infinite releases on March 26.
Two other anticipated releases that have drawn interest are Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemists of Dusk (which releases on March 5) and The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct (March 19). Both of these come with an exclusive, free theme if you pre-order, and the previous entries in the franchises have garnered critical acclaim.
In addition, there are a few sports games, namely MLB 13 the Show 13, which gives you an extra 120 million in franchise credits/budget and a theme (releases on March 5), and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14, which comes with a theme and the Els Club Theme Course (releases March 26).
Finally, Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel joins the lineup, offering a free exclusive theme and even the Overkill Edition as a bonus, which includes the following exclusive bonus weapons: Day of the Dead, AK-47, Double-D Shotgun, and TAH-9 handgun. It also includes outfit/mask sets (specifically Day of the Dead, Overkill and Polymer), and even exclusive overkillers contracts, which are, "New missions designed for nonstop, frenetic co-op destruction."
If you decide to spend, say $150 rather than $50, then you won't just get $10 back, you'll actually get $30 back. The promotion is for every $50 spent, so if you have a lot of games coming up that you wanted to play, this deal will likely help you out a bit and allow you to stretch your dollar more. Happy gaming!
