The PS Vita is now available for $200 at retailers nationwide. The price was already in effect at retailers like Amazon, Best Buy and Target with many suspecting it was a prelude to Sony announcing a price drop. The company also announced plans to drop the price of memory cards for the the PS Vita but did not give details on how much of a price drop the different storage options will receive other than to say they would be "significant."
Borderlands 2 from Gearbox Software and 2K Games was also confirmed to be coming to the PS Vita. There's also a free-to-play music festival game called Big Fest that looks like a cross between The Sims and Rollercoaster Tycoon as well as the artistically creative Murasaki Baby that makes use of the handheld's touchscreen. Release dates have not been announced.
