The official Playstation Blog posted an article yesterday which featured a video showcasing the evolution that has underwent Sony’s gaming console throughout the years. The video itself plays like a gaming-themed show on the History Channel, discussing the past of the console giant.
The video is meant as a retrospective to take gamers back down memory lane and relive the beginnings of the Playstation system or, in the case of young fans, learn about it for the very first time. The original Playstation console was released in Japan 19 years ago and followed with a release in the North America, Europe, and Australia one year later, in 1995.
This history lesson from Sony comes shortly before next week’s Playstation Meeting event is set to be put on by Sony where many believe the company will officially be showing off the next generation Playstation console to the world for the first time.
