Sony United Kingdom managing director Fergal Gara said Sony hasn’t made a decision yet on if they will bundle the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita, but that the company will work with retailers if they themselves want to bundle the two, according to a report from VG 24/7 today.

Gara told OPM that Sony would support what he called “soft bundles” in which retailers might package together the PS4, PS Vita, a release title like Killzone: Shadow Fall and a PS Plus account.

Even if retailers wanted to add on a third party title to the “PlayStation mega bundle,” Sony’s cool with that too Gara said.

Gara said Sony was encouraged after Gamescom, when they featured the PS4 and PS Vita coming together to play Assassin’s Creed 4. Sony even saw a surge in PS Vita sales immediately following the demo.

“Right now, as I sit here today, we’re not producing a box that fits a PS4 and PS Vita in that one box,” Gara said. “We could probably change our mind in the morning and still have it ready for launch to be honest so it’s not a big decision. It’s not a hard thing to do.”

How the PlayStation 4 will work the PS Vita will become more apparent leading up to the launch, Gara said, but as of right now a bundle is neither a yes or a no and Sony’s focusing on just working out what’s best for its retail partners.

The PS4 drops in North America on Nov. 15, in Europe on Nov. 29, and Japan in February.
