Sony reveals details on Diamond Dynasty mode for 'MLB 13: The Show'

With the March 5 release date coming up soon Sony released new information on their newest installment in the "MLB The Show" series. With the announcement of Pirates OF Andrew Mccutchen as the cover athlete earlier this week, Sony is now giving the details on the new features in Diamond Dynasty.

On Thursday Sony gave new info on Diamond Dynasty which was first introduced in 2012. Diamond Dynasty is an online mode where players can create a team from scratch and build it up to be a power house in online play. In Diamond Dynasty everything about a team is customizable from name, location, logo and much more. In Diamond Dynasty you also have the option of acquiring Dynasty players which are completely customizable and you train to make better.

In response to feedback from gamers, Sony has added improvements to make the experience better for players. The most basic improvements was an upgrade to the user interface to make navigating menus faster and make the marketplace more fair in the acquisition for Dynasty players. Another addition was the option to add the DH as players can now choose to abide by either AL or NL rules. Pitcher cards are also indentified by their role now so you will know whether a pitcher is a starter, reliver or closer.

Diamond Dynasty players will also have limits on their potential so not every player can become a 99 rating in each category unless you purchase the higher level cards which have the potential to become 99's. This will allow players to end up like real life players with strengths and weaknesses.

In response to complaints about people losing stats due to people quitting now all stats are now saved after each inning. This way if a person quits half way through the game you will still the stats that you have earned so far.
