As speculated yesterday, Sony posted the next entry in their “PlayStation Evolution” series today, Feb. 17, 2013. It’s becoming more and more likely that this series of videos highlighting PlayStation’s evolution over the years is going to lead to a reveal of the PlayStation 4 at Sony’s event in New York City on Wednesday.
The third entry focuses on the PlayStation 3 game console, released in 2006. The PS3 was much more highly advanced than the PS2, featuring the Cell processor and a Blu-ray drive. The PS3 has the ability to play very large games, as the Blu-ray format can fit a much larger amount of data than a DVD.
Now that Sony has released a video on the PlayStation, the PlayStation 2, and now the PlayStation 3, it’s very likely that they will continue with the PSP tomorrow. This is pure speculation, but it would make some amount of sense.
Check back for more updates as they become available.
