Sony may announce PS4 tonight

Sony has a big announcement tonight but its nature has been kept a mystery. Divulging as little as possible the console company released a short teaser trailer with some flashy graphics and no other information than the date of their announcement, Feb. 20 2013. Finally the day has arrived where loyal PlayStation fans will get to find out what the future of Sony is.

Of course everyone is expecting Sony’s big announcement to include a reveal of the much rumored next generation console being called the PS4. At this point the company could simply reveal that there is indeed a PS4 in the works and it would be news but various reports leaked onto the internet would have us believe they’re ready to be giving details about their next big thing.

So far the PS4 is supposed to have a touch sensitive controller, streaming content and be back compatible along with having some upgraded hardware. It’s almost certain that Sony will at least be addressing the rumors of the PS4 and be giving an estimated time for when it will hit shelves. Other possible topics that could be included in Sony’s talk of the future could include a revamp of their online store and upgrades to the controller design or Move motion sensor.

If you've been anxiously waiting for what Sony has in store tonight you should tune in to the live stream. You can watch live coverage of the PlayStation Meeting 2013 on Twitch at 6 PM PDT. You can also get in on the pre-show with Danny O’Dwyer and crew from GameSpot at 2:30 PDT for all the excitement and speculation.
