After the disappointing news that two of the PS4’s most anticipated launch titles, Evolution Studios’ Drive Club and Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs, have been delayed to 2014, Sony has released a new commercial reassuring gamers that the PS4 is still the best choice.
The new advertisement, courtesy of IGN, focuses mainly on its exclusive titles. These include Killzone Shadow Fall, Infamous: Second Son, Knack, and The Order 1886, among others.
In fact, the commercial emphasizes that there are 24 exclusive titles announced for the PS4 that gamers can look forward to playing in the future, and even adding the 14 award-winning (great amount of emphasis on ‘award-winning’) developers that are currently making these games.
They also highlight exclusive PS4 content for games such as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and Bungie’s Destiny. As well as a mention of how much PS4 loves indies.
In there is also a short message that reminds gamers that the PS4 has more games in development for its platform that any other next-gen console.
While this is obviously a huge damage-control attempt to help people forget that horrible business with Drive Club and Watch Dogs, does anybody else get the feeling Sony’s trying too hard? Or does this new commercial make you even more excited to get a PS4?
