Moviegoers who were looking forward to seeing the "Annie" remake starring Quvenzhané Wallis on Christmas day will have to make a slight change to their holiday plans. Sony recently announced that it has moved the film's original release date from Dec. 25 to Dec.19, 2014 according to The Wrap.

Will and Jada Smith along with rapper Jay Z are among the producers of the new version of “Annie”. In addition to Wallis the film will star Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale.
Wallis gave a breakthrough performance in “Beasts of the Southern Wild” which netted her a history-making Oscar nomination. The child star will also be seen in Steve McQueen’s “12 Years a Slave” with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, and Alfre Woodard.
