'Sons of Anarchy' starts to focus back on Jax's journey in season six

With production due to begin in two short months on the Harley-Davidson riding series "Sons of Anarchy", fans are slowly being dripped information about what to expect. Last night, executive producer/writer Kurt Sutter provided a tantalizing update in several areas including his relationship with Charlie Hunnam.

Sutter explained how he pitches the upcoming season to the network and then periodically meets with Hunnam so that he can provide the actor with an idea of what the story arcs will be so that our hero Jax reacts as authentically as possible.

"I do a couple meetings with Charlie before the seasons kicks off fully," says Sutter. "It's a usual pre-season lunch where I bring him up to speed on some of the bigger arcs and what we're doing just so that he can wrap his brain around the season."

Sutter continued by talking about how the entire series evolves from an introduction into Jax's world to expanding to include more story lines from the secondary characters to the focus returning to Jax in culminating seasons.

As of yet, the FX marketing department has yet to let Sutter in on how season six will be marketed to the public or the type of imagery that will be utilized.

"I have no idea what the marketing is going to look like for this season and obviously not for any following seasons," said Sutter. "My sense is that even with how we market the show, it will start to reflect the fact that our story is coming back around and the road is getting narrower and it will be more about our hero's journey."

Sutter provided great insight into the give and take that happens between the amazing ensemble cast from SoA; however, as the seasons progress the focus reverts back to the core group that immediately surrounds Jax as Sutter continues mirroring mythology.

The chat ended with Sutter saying he was going to spend the weekend on his bike because he was jealous to see Hunnam show up for their lunch meeting on his Dyna!
