Fans everywhere piled in front of their televisions sets as the long anticipated premiere of the new season of “Sons of Anarchy” premiered September 10, on FX. The wildly popular show gave fans an hour and a half of entertainment, thrills and suspense, as usual.
The ever popular character of Jax Teller, played by Charlie Hunnam, seems to be getting much more sinister and devious as he tries to rebuild his shattered motorcycle club back into the family it used to be. Has too much damage been done?
Gemma, played by actress Katey Sagal, is Jax’s mother and it is quite apparent that he got his know- how of schemes and playing head games directly from her. Both try to out-do the other as they connive and plan to have things their own way.
Gemma, is determined to keep her son and grandsons under her wing and she will stop at nothing to accomplish it, even helping to keep Jax’s wife, Tara, locked up and away from them if necessary.
Tara would like nothing more than to get out of jail, grab her sons and leave Charming, but even though she has been offered a deal she won’t do it. Her deal involves supplying information about Jax and the club’s illegal activities. Tara declares: “I am no rat!”
Tara may not be a rat, but those who watched the final scene where Jax was having an explicit encounter with a gal he had just met, may label him as something worse. Will Jax lose a few fans because of this scene or will his wildly popular character have fans cheering him on to an affair while his wife sits behind bars?
As usual, “Sons of Anarchy” has started out with a lot of different plots and twists going on. It seems that everyone has their own agenda and will do whatever it takes to accomplish it. First impression indicates that the sweet, caring Jax from last season has become even more lethal and dangerous to cross.
Will he become more like his ruthless stepfather Clay Morrow, played by Ron Perlman, as the season unfolds? Clay, the club’s former president, currently sits in a prison cell, but he still has his outside connections and continues to connive and wreak havoc on the club.
The motorcycle club is definitely torn to shreds as the new season starts. What will it take for Jax to rebuild it? Will you be sitting in front of your television watching? Tune in next Tuesday night at 10 p.m. ET on the FX channel for all the exciting action that is “Sons of Anarchy.”
