One question SAMCRO fans have is when "Sons of Anarchy" season 7 will begin airing. While it was known it would be sometime in fall 2014, Kurt Sutter said that the new season will premiere in early September, at least he said that is the plan. There are also updates on the storylines for the upcoming season the Epoch Times reported on March 10.

The Sons of Anarchy season 7 episode 1 air date will be in early September 2014.

Filming for season 7 will begin in May and although the first episode hasn't been written yet, Sutter said in a video uploaded to YouTube that he plans to start writing this weekend. Just because the writing hasn't begun yet doesn't mean there is no plan for "Sons of Anarchy" season 7. He and the writers are already developing the storyline for episode 2.

Kurt explained,

“We’re in the process of closing deals with existing co-stars and recurring characters, which is tough sometimes. Other people have got other shows so we’re trying to figure out who’s available, who’s not available and that always impacts what we’re able to do for the season.”

International Business Times reported that CCH Pounder and Kim Dickens would only be able to come back to "SOA" for limited appearances because of other commitments. IBT wrote that the two will only be in two to four episodes.

As for who will return, Drea de Matteo has been upgraded to a series regular, Jimmy Smits will return, Peter Weller will direct at least two episodes and he wants Barosky back. Also, Unser will live through "Sons of Anarchy" season 7.

In addition to finding out if certain characters are available to come back, there will be some new ones. Sutter said that there will be a few new female cast members and there might also be some new faces from other charters. He also said that the Grim Bastards will return in some capacity. Epoch Times previously reported that there would be some new law enforcement officials as well. However, bringing in a new sheriff is something that Sutter doesn't want to do.

There has also been reports that Kurt Sutter would love to have "Breaking Bad" star Aaron Paul to appear, but whether he will or not is unknown at this time.
