A few months ago it was announced that actress Drea de Matteo, who plays Wendy on "Sons of Anarchy" was promoted to a series regular and now two additional characters have also been upgraded. On April 1, Deadline reported that Niko Nicotera and David Labrava will be series regulars on "Sons of Anarchy" season 7.

Nicotera has been playing the role of SAMCRO member Ratboy Skogstrom for the past two seasons and fans can look forward to seeing him in "The Purge: Anarchy." David Labrava, who is a Hells Angel member in real life, plays Happy. Last season his character become Sergeant-at-Arms for the mother chapter.

Previous "Sons of Anarchy" season 7 casting updates reported that T.O. Cross and the Grimm Bastards will be returning to the series and Kurt Sutter is hoping their appearance will happen on the season 7 finale.

Nero and Unser will both be returning characters as well as Barosky, played by Peter Weller, who will direct as least two episodes. CCH Pounder and Kim Dickens will only be returning for limited appearances in "Sons of Anarchy" season 7 because of other obligations. International Business Times reported that fans should only expect them in two to four episodes.

As for brand new characters, Epoch Times reported a while back that there will be a few new female characters as well as some new law enforcement officers. However, Kurt Sutter does not want to bring on a new sheriff because Jax and SAMCRO have enough on their plate. He also said,

"We're trying to avoid the new sheriff in town device because we've kinda used it."

As it gets closer to the premiere date, more casting information will be made available.

"Sons of Anarchy" season 7 will air in fall 2014.
