Fans of "Sons of Anarchy" still have a bit of time to wait for the arrival of season seven of this series. Scripts are still in the process of being written, and Kurt Sutter hasn't even started casting for the bit roles of the season seven premiere. That will happen shortly though. On May 14, TV Line did share a new spoiler for the upcoming season.

A new sheriff is coming. With the death of Eli in season six, a new sheriff is needed, and a woman will be in charge. Sutter is now looking to cast a woman sheriff named Alice Johnson. The character is described as a "fit, Caucasian 40something who’s serious about her work but also boasts an edgy humor." No word yet on who will be cast in the role, but the character will be a recurring player during season seven of the series. She will definitely have her work cut out for her with this gang.

Sutter may not have started filming episodes for season seven yet, but there are details about production of the new season. According to Enstarz, Sutter has revealed that scripts have been written for the premiere and episode two. Scripts for episodes three, four and five are also been written. Episodes four and five are in draft phase. Paris Barclay will direct the season seven premiere.

Season six ended with a huge bang. Gemma killed Tara, and that will have a huge impact on season seven. Katey Sagal is coming back for season seven. Charlie Hunnam will also return, and Sutter revealed that he believes Peter Weller and Jimmy Smits will be back for the final season as well. This series has become a hit for FX, and the final season has been teased as a good end for the series. Fans will need to tune in to find out how the series closes out this fall.
