Though fans are distraught that this is the last season of “Sons of Anarchy,” we are anxious to find out if Jax will ever learn it was his own mother, Gemma, who brutally murdered his wife, Tara. He has to find out, right? On Aug. 19, International Business Times hinted at what lengths Gemma will go to in order to keep her role a secret.
The story will pick up 10 days after Tara’s murder with Jax in prison, but not for long. His loving mom will be there to greet him with open arms. As she comforts her baby boy, she also sets his feet on a path set to lead him far away from suspecting her.
Gemma will convince Jax that a rival gang was behind the horrific killing and he’s going to buy it. This incites a bloody “war” between the two gangs, one with consequences.
Meanwhile, Gemma will do her best to keep Juice hidden. When Season 6 ended, he wasn’t on anyone’s ‘friend’ list in SAMCRO, least of all Jax’s. Her efforts to protect him are going to be wasted when an “unlikely source” discovers the pair’s secret. Jax isn’t likely to find out for some time and we’re not sure just when the “unlikely source” will find out. Will that source blackmail Gemma or run to Jax with the details?
We do know that the Grim Bastards, another motorcycle club, will have the ‘Sons’ backs as Jax tries to find out who is responsible for Tara’s death. ‘Cosby’ kid Malcolm Jamal Warner plays one of the ‘Bastards’ and has a four-episode story arc that might extend to the finale. He has said that his character is loyal to his club and therefore to Jax’s club as well.
As for Gemma, TV Line reveals that it is she who will feel Tara’s presence most in Season 7. Show creator Kurt Sutter said “Gemma has this odd, remorse-[driven] dialogue with Tara throughout the season as if she’s sitting right there next to her.”
Speaking of the finale, which is bound to be heart-stopping, mark your calendars. It is set to air on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The next day, you can rush out to buy the series’ companion book, "Sons of Anarchy: The Official Collector's Edition" which will be released on Dec. 3, according to Ace Show Biz. The book is loaded with 208 pages of cast interviews, stories on how the show was made and photos from all seven seasons
Though Season 7 of “Sons of Anarchy” doesn’t premier for a few more weeks, we’ve got some promotional black and white photos of the show’s favorite characters to help tide you over. They come courtesy of YouTube. The shots feature Jax, Gemma, Juice, Tig, Chibbs, Bobby and more of the gang.
The seventh and final season of “Sons of Anarchy” will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 9, on FX. An all-star guest cast includes Lea Michele, Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson and Walton Goggins.
