“Sons of Anarchy” executive producer Paris Barclay shared some spoilers for the upcoming Season 7. His insight confirms what we’ve been hearing all along. The final ride is going to be deadly one. According to an Aug 12 post on Enstarz, the series about the Charming, Calif.-based motorcycle club is going to see one character die in nearly every episode.
"I think this season should be a roller coaster ride," he said. "Every episode this season is packed with more plot, more story and more characters than we've done before. Kurt really is getting two seasons in one."
Because of the increased action and all the drama surrounding it, Barclay said producing the episodes gets harder each time. "And in almost every episode now, someone is dying, so that makes it a little bit harder to shoot 'cause we have to keep saying goodbye," he teased.
Barclay also said there won’t be many left around that table when it is all over. "Yes, there will be someone left. There will be more than one, but not a lot more," Barclay admitted. "There will be a table."
The show is loosely built on the Shakespearean tragedy of “Hamlet.” If you know the story of Hamlet, there is almost no one left at the end there, too. Only Horatio a school chum who becomes a close friend over the course of the play is left and a few other less prominent characters. Any thoughts on who Jax’s ‘Horatio’ might be?
News for Shoppers thinks Jax (Charlie Hunnam) , Chibs (Tommy Flanagan) and ether Tigs (Kim Coates) or Bobby (Mark Boone) will make up the final three. We disagree. If the series follows the play, then Jax is Hamlet and he will definitely be dead. Tigs has caused his share of problems over the years and is likely to disappear as well. We think Horatio is going to be either Chibs or Bobby.
Barclay seems to share this opinion to some extent. He talked about how in this season we’ll see the “chickens coming home to roost” and that “all the things we have done over seven seasons, eventually people have to pay for.”
Fans know that Gemma (Katey Sagal) and Juice (Theo Rossi) will be called upon to pay up for their crimes. Jax will not spare anyone on his path of revenge, not even his mother. What will be interesting to see is who goes when.
“Sons of Anarchy” Season 7, the final season, will premiere on FX Sept. 9. The premiere will be an extended episode running 1 hour and 45 minutes.
