In one of his now famous video chats, showrunner Kurt Sutter revealed that the premiere date for season 7 of “Sons of Anarchy” will be sometime in early September as reported by The Epoch Times on March 10.
According to Sutter, the development of the final season of the hit FX show is coming along as it should.
“We’re moving along,” Sutter said. “We begin shooting end of May and we’ll premiere kind of the same time we do every year, which is sometime in early September. That’s the plan.”
Though he and his team haven’t actually begun writing the first episode yet, they are working on the storyline for episode 2 already. Episode one is all planned out and so they are pressing forward. Right now his time is being consumed by casting issues.
“We’re in the process of closing deals with existing co-stars and recurring characters, which is tough sometimes,” he said. “Other people have got other shows so we’re trying to figure out who’s available, who’s not available and that always impacts what we’re able to do for the season.”
During the video chat, Sutter indicated there will probably be a couple of new female characters and maybe a couple of new charter members brought over from other charters. Fans can look forward to seeing the Grim Bastards again in season 7.
