The premiere of “Sons of Anarchy” season 7 is about three weeks away and we’re chomping at the bit. With all the guest stars and the rumors of the savagery ahead, the final season about Charming’s motorcycle club is bound to be one jaw-dropping, edge-of-your-seat ride. Guest star Malcolm Jamal Warner opened up a little about his role on the show. International Business Times said on Aug. 18 that the former Cosby kid will play a key role in Jax’s quest for revenge.
The former “The Cosby Show” actor was slated to appear in just one episode of the seventh and final season. According to Warner, his role as Sticky, a member of the Grim Bastards and “right-hand man” to T.O. Cross (Michael Beach), was expanded from working with just one SAMCRO member to the whole gang. His appearance will now span four episodes.
The actor says he may even be in the series finale because the Grim Bastards are instrumental in Jax’s plan for revenge. “They’re definitely a part of it,” Warner said. “If you’re gonna be on that show it’s kind of cool that you’re going to be the motorcycle gang that’s like the charter club to Sons. So they definitely have our back and we definitely have their backs.”
Warner says Sticky is loyal to his club and can therefore be counted on to be loyal to the Sons and Jax all the way to the end. Just how the Grim Bastards will figure in to Jax’s plans isn’t known yet but it won’t be much longer until the season gets underway.
Season 7 of “Sons of Anarchy” will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 9 on FX. Other guest stars will include Marilyn Manson, Courtney Love and Lea Michele. Another favorite character returning for the final season is Walton Goggins as the sultry Venus Van Damme.
