‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7: Courtney Love’s ‘pivotal’ role, Jax at risk

Are you anxiously awaiting the start of season 7 of “Sons of Anarchy”? If so, it may interest you to know that the first trailer was aired during the episode of “Tyrant” on FX according to a July 8 report in Hollywood Life. In addition to that brief but tantalizing tidbit comes news that Courtney Love has joined the cast.

The trailer is only 20 seconds long, just enough to whet your appetite for more. Jax (Charlie Hunnam) is seen on board his motorcycle, riding off into the night. As he does, his face fades into a skull and then fades back to his own face. What is the message Kurt Sutter and company are trying to give us? Is Jax’s life in danger?

Given the fact that Jax has lost so many of the people he loved including his father, his stepfather, his best friend Opie and his wife, Tara, ,the season premiere is aptly named, “The Black Widower.” With little left to lose at this point, it is possible Jax will risk everything to achieve his goals of making his club legit and getting to the bottom of Tara’s murder.

Playing what TV Guide called a “pivotal role,” Courtney Love will also be joining the cast for a multi-episode story arc. Her character, Ms. Harrison, will be a preschool searcher who works with Jax’s oldest son, Abel. She is set to appear in the fourth episode and there is no word on how long she will be on the show or exactly what the nature of her role will be.

Other celebs joining the cast for the series final season include shock rocker Marilyn Manson who will play a prison inmate honcho with connections, Walton Goggins who will reprise the role of Venus, the transgender character Tigs is wild about and Annabeth Gish.

“Sons of Anarchy” will premiere its seventh and final season sometime in late September. Many of the cast will appear in a panel at Comic Con later this month.
