“Sons of Anarchy” season 6 premiere puts too much on Jax’s plate in the first ten minutes. He's up against a situation that he needs to re-evaluate his life around. According to the New York Daily News on Sept. 9, Jax, who has up until now been fairly good at justifying the wrongs, is up against a new dilemma that can't be justified. What happens in the opening episode makes Jax realize that the “Sons of Anarchy” tentacles can carry despair to places it doesn't belong.
Jax is either the leader of an outlaw motorcycle gang or a good father figure, he can’t be both after a new horrid and life-changing situation arises. What that event is would entail throwing a spoiler out here, and if you are curious, you can get the low-down on the event here.
Jax wants it all, he wants to be the good guy, the good husband, the good father and really most of all he wants to bring the club back to the visions his dead father had for SAMCRO. He’s got too much against him to do this and in one of the newest commercials for the “Sons” premiere, he says he is tired of leading a bunch of guys basically going nowhere. He puts it much more elegantly, though.
When Tuesday night’s season premiere airs, you’ll find Gemma in her glory. She’s got Jax all to herself to manipulate and she’s got the two boys, her grandsons, full time while Tara is in jail. This is a lot for Jax to handle.
Tara, who was a promising surgeon and well-thought of in the community until she hooked back up with Jax, is now a convict and her life is basically ruined because of her involvement with the club. This, along with Jax wanting to be the best father he can be is taking their little family in the wrong direction.
You may see Jax falling apart as the event that happens in the opening episode this seasons makes Jax realize the kind of man he’s becoming while hanging on to SAMCRO life. As much as he despises Clay and all the things he's done, Jax might not be too far from walking in his deplorable shoes.
"Sons of Anarchy" season 6 opener airs Tuesday, September 10, at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
