“Sons of Anarchy” season six “Salvage" aired Tuesday night and many are calling it the most “uplifting episode of “Sons of Anarchy” yet. Entertainment Weekly is one of the websites referring to the SAMCRO table scene as “uplifting” in their article on Oct. 15.
It was the many hands banging on the table that sucked folks in at home, with some even saying they had a tear in their eye after Jax’s heartwarming speech. (Or as heartwarming as you’re going to get from a guy who earlier had a gun to someone’s head).
While it was a respite from the regular “Sons” gruesome scenes, people don’t watch the SAMCRO boys for an uplifting experience. The sky just opened up and let nice things happen all around, like Bobby recruiting for “Sons” not going nomad as most thought.
Was “Salvage” a turning point for SAMCRO, now that they’ve decided to stay away from the guns? Tara’s pregnancy doesn’t seem real, it seems as if she’s started another story to throw Jax and Gemma off the track of her planned exit. She’s confided in Unser what her plans were, to divorce and hightail it out of town with the boys. If she were to go to jail, then Wendy will take the boys.
Unser told her “she’s spinning a lot of plates” and while Tara agrees, she plans on getting those boys out of Charming no matter what it takes. While Jax is planning a new future for the club, Tara is planning a new future for her and the kids.
Nero, who is the scape goat for the killing of one of the girls employed by his house of ill repute, doesn’t look like he has leg to stand on. Ironically it’s the new Sheriff that may be his saving grace. He tried to get the dreadlocks sporting District Attorney to change her tune, but she wants an arrest, whether it’s the right person or not.
She may also see that Nero is her ticket to Gemma, who may try and save him by giving up some info down the line. This might be Tara’s downfall having Gemma making friends with the woman wanting to put Tara away for crimes of the “Sons” because she won’t give up Jax.
Was “Sons of Anarchy” a little too sentimental for the masses of viewers last night? Or was it a nice change?
