“Sons of Anarchy” has started season 6 off with a full plate for Jax, but it just got a bit lighter after last week’s “Wolfsangle” episode when the sick and twisted Lee Toric was taken by creator Kurt Sutter. He not only took him out of the script, but he played the role of Otto, who slit Toric’s neck and let him bleed out like the pig he’s known to be.
According to EnStars on Oct 3, Jax is out for revenge for his two SAMCRO brothers killed last week. The death scene for Toric was a great piece of writing last week. Toric, who was probably the worst sociopath ever to grace the “Sons of Anarchy” territory, stayed true to his form when Otto first stabbed him. He calmly looked up and said “I didn’t see that coming.” The man had no fear of consequences and he was bound to screw things up sooner or later with his brazenness. It looks like Otto just got a jump on his demise.
Otto was gunned down by the prison guards who came to Toric’s rescue. If there ever was someone begging for a suicide by cop death that was Otto after what that sick Toric brought down on him. Otto endured more suffering than a human can take in prison.
Clay has no idea what he just managed to stave off with Toric dying because he was next on Toric’s list for the daily visits by the prison rapist. Jax has got more than he can handle still, even with Toric gone, as both the club and things at home are spiraling out of control. It looks as if Tara is planning a getaway for herself and the kids.
“The Mad King” airs Tuesday night, as more of the SAMCRO boys are questioning Jax's lone ranger decisions and his lack of bringing things to the table. Tara is going through the motions, but she just wants out at this point. This week Gemma stops by to visit Clay one more time in the slammer, making it only the third time this season Clay’s been visited by his family.
Nero’s serious about cutting ties with the club and he’s hoping he’s man enough to take Gemma along with him. She’s had SAMCRO running through her veins since she was a teen, Clay was the second “SOA” president she was married to, so her status as the first lady for SAMCRO ruins deep.
Chibs is trying to supply the voice of reason to Jax, but he’s too far gone in a world of making decisions on his own. Last week he was reminded that the last guy who was club president made his own decisions by Chibs and Jax didn’t like that. He doesn’t see any parallel with the way he does club business and Clay’s ways. He might be wrong in not recognizing this.
Jax continues to say he is making decisions that is best for the club, but that remains to be seen so far this season.
