On Sep. 10 Entertainment Weekly shares a recap of "Sons of Anarchy" which began season six with an 90 minute episode that was very violent start to finish. While many people expected some easing into the violence, Kurt Sutter was head on when he told fans that it would be fast paced and get right into the swing of things where the last season left off.
While Sutter defends his season opening episode, many were shocked to see one of the opening scenes of Otto being raped in his solitary cell to Lee Toric's delight. Many are wondering if there will be more to come as that is what Toric promised him if he didn't start talking and selling out SAMCRO.
Jax and Tig had their fair share of violence when they ended up at the Stockton docks in search of an adult film company that has been less than honest with the girls they are hiring. Unfortunately for the pornographers in question that were creating torture films and using Lyla for one of those videos. Thanks to Tig, one of them ended up at the bottom of the pay after back talking to him about the death of his daughter. Jax and Nero decided to expand his escort business into Stockton once they met a woman that is looking for a more legitimate set up. Of course, as is Jax's bad habit, he also ended up bedding the household matriarch after being turned away by Tara who has refused to see him since she's been in prison.
Speaking of Tara, she has had her own fights to battle while in jail and decided that beating up a woman as revenge for stealing her blanket was appropriate, right before a bail hearing no less. This may prolong Tara's stay, or perhaps it will prove to be her defining moment while she's in prison as a no nonsense person that shouldn't be messed with. Only time will tell how Tara's beat down will help or hurt her.
Clay was confronted by Lee Toric as well as given an ultimatum of either start talking or be thrown into general population. When Clay is given some time to think about it, in the end he decided to start talking as many had a feeling he would do, especially when it looked as if he was going to end up being the only white guy in a group of guys that he has already had issues with in the past. Many thought that Clay wouldn't do it, but as Jax so eloquently put it, "Clay would do anything to stay alive."
Lastly, there was a bit of back-to-school violence involving Primo's son. It seems that he's been having some demons to deal with based on the notebook he was scribbling crazy thoughts and dark, demonic pictures in. It seems as if Primo had no idea that his son was in a bad way, and the kid's mother didn't really seem to care all that much as she looked like she was either in her own deep depression or on drugs and didn't notice that her son had also been cutting himself. All of this lead to a very sad ending involving a school shooting and an automatic weapon that was taken to school. This seems likely that it will have bad repercussions in the episodes to come.
