Just a few weeks ago, we learned that “Glee” star Lea Michele had landed a 1-episode gig on the seventh season of “Sons of Anarchy.” Just Jared shared on Aug. 28 that the show is looking to extend her time in Charming. Michele may be around for additional episodes.

The site quoted ‘Sons’ director Paris Barclay as saying, “We love her. We’re trying to find a way to bring her back.” Barclay has also worked with Michele as the director on “Glee” so the two already have a strong working relationship.

The 27-year-old actress and singer is set to play Gertie, a single mom and truck stop waitress. Her character is supposed to bond with Gemma during what is described as “difficult time.” According to Wetpaint, the cast and crew loved working with Michele so much, they are trying to find a way to bring her character back before Season 7 ends.

Barclay said Michele was a professional on the set handling all that was asked of her including wearing little to no makeup and picking up a smoking habit. They had to work to make her ‘Gertie’ character stand apart from her “Glee” character of Rachel Berry. The lack of makeup, some dowdy wardrobe choices and special lighting also helped make her look bigger than fans might be used to seeing.

He went on to say, “Her acting was completely naturalistic.” Even show runner Kurt Runner was impressed, saying in a recent interview that she “Completely embraced” the show. When fans were critical of his choice to cast her, Sutter replied, “Look beyond the song and dance. The kid has chops.”

Watch for Lea’s first episode to air on Oct. 14. Hopefully we’ll get to see her on another episode, too. And don’t miss the “Sons of Anarchy” Season 7 premiere on Tuesday, Sept 9 on FX.
