Each week, Kurt Sutter posts his thoughts and musings on his YouTube channel for fans as a status update into one of the most popular TV shows on the air, "Sons of Anarchy." While sometimes there are spoilers that give away information about the upcoming season six, Kurt is very good at disguising information so that he really isn't saying much at all. On April 19, the newest video was posted.
This week's topic was the answer to a fan question about how the names of characters are thought up. Kurt explains that sometimes they just come, other times, someone suggests them or they simply try to pull the wool over the producers eyes and squeak in a something humorous. If the name is too over done, it will be sent back for something unique.
When talking about names, a character from season three of "Sons of Anarchy" was brought up-- Lowell. It turns out that there were originally plans to bring him back, but Kurt Sutter says that he was unavailable. Now, because it has been so long since he was on the show, it would take time from the main story to write him back in because precious time that could develop the story elsewhere would have to be devoted to reestablishing the character. It also takes away more time from the main story line to include where he's been and why he is coming back.
Fans are anxiously awaiting the return of "Sons of Anarchy" which is slated to return this fall. Will you be watching?
