Sonoma Wine County Weekend celebrates the wine region’s winegrowers, winemakers and chefs. This leading wine and food destination comes to life, all to help local charities while inviting food and wine lovers a chance to sample all that this region has to offer. There are many special events interwoven with the region’s unique spirit. You will be able to examine, up close and personal, Sonoma’s full bounty of flavors, rubbing shoulders with winegrowers and winemakers and offer your compliments to the chefs.

Three days of events are providing weekend long excitement.

Friday, August 29

  • 6:30 – 10:00 p.m.
    Sonoma Starlight at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville
    Kick off the Sonoma Wine Country Weekend poolside at Francis Ford Coppola Winery with wine, dinner and music under the stars at Sonoma Starlight. Start with a Gloria Ferrer sparkling wine reception and then enjoy a bountiful selection of season local cuisine by Sondra Bernstein and John Toulze, proprietors of The Girls and The Fig. General admission ticks are $125 each.
  • 12:30 p.m.
    Winemaker Lunches are being held throughout Sonoma County. Each winery will host exquisite lunches in dazzling settings. Tickets are $85 each. Click here for a list of available wineries.
  • 6:00 p.m.
    Winemaker Dinners are being hosted throughout Sonoma County. These are intimate dinners where you will share an evening with the winemaker, sharing wines paired with great creations from local chefs. Tickets are $150 each. Click here for a list of participating wineries.

Saturday, August 30

  • 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Taste of Sonoma at MacMurray Estate Vineyards
    This is your chance to be completely immersed in the food and wine culture of Sonoma County. You will have the afternoon to stroll through the historic MacMurray Estate Vineyards while sipping and savoring the very best rich wines and delectable foods that Sonoma County has to offer. This event has been named one of the “10 Best Wine and Food Events in the United States” by Celebrated Living Magazine. Tickets are $165 per person.
  • 6:00 p.m.
    Winemaker Dinners are being hosted throughout Sonoma County. These are intimate dinners where you will share an evening with the winemaker, sharing wines paired with great creations from local chefs. Tickets are $150 each. Click here for a list of participating wineries.

Sunday, August 31

  • 12:30 to 7:00 p.m.
    Sonoma Harvest Wine Auction at Chateau St. Jean in Kenwood
    This final afternoon event is already sold out ($500 each) but is the biggest charity event for Sonoma.
  • 12:30 p.m.
    Winemaker Barbecues are being hosted throughout Sonoma County. These are intimate dinners where you will share an evening with the winemaker, sharing wines paired with great creations from local chefs. Tickets are $85 each. Click here for a list of participating wineries.
