The top amateur boxers the Southwest has to offer will converge at Sonny's Boxing Gym to compete at "Fight Night Round 5" in Goodyear, Arizona, this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 23-24.
The 2-day event will pit some amazing amateur boxing talent. Both male and female amateur boxers in all weight classes are welcome to participate. Boxing clubs from California, Nevada and New Mexico, as well as our Arizona clubs will compete.
It all starts with the weigh-in on Saturday Feb. 23, from 7-9 a.m. The match-up's for the days bouts will be held from 9-10 a.m., and Doc Eitner will make it legal by conducting the physicals at 1 p.m. at Sonny's. The first bout begins at 2 p.m. and will run until all the scheduled boxers have fought.
The action continues Sunday Feb. 24, with the weigh-in from 7-9 a.m. The match-up's will be held from 9-10 a.m., Doc Eitner will again make it legal with physicals at 1 p.m. again at Sonny's. The first bout will be at 2 p.m. and will run until finished.
Come out and support these young fighters, many will go on to become professional boxers. They all work hard and have learned dedication and discipline. These skills are the tools that will carry them through life.
