Sonja Morgan split from Harry Dubin earlier this year. And now, she's dating someone younger.
According to a new report, the "Real Housewives of New York City" star recently began seeing 45-year-old David Svanda, the owner of Svanda’s Framing & Art in Brookfield, Connecticut. On Wednesday, she spoke of her new man in an interview with Radar Online.
“I’ve known him forever!” Morgan told Radar on Aug. 20. During a date to the Hamptons Magazine Celebration of The Children’s Justice Campaign, Morgan said Svanda was "a very good sport to come along."
"We did have a fabulous dinner afterwards at Red Stix. I had to leave the next morning to L.A. and then my daughter and I have a rendezvous for the rest of the summer in France,” Morgan continued. However, despite their great date, Morgan is taking things slow and planning to remain single -- at least for the time being.
“I’m definitely single now and with my daughter turning 14 and thriving at school, having a night out with someone as refreshing, gorgeous and charming as David is a complete joy! Life is good,” Morgan said.
Last year, prior to the filming of "The Real Housewives of New York City" season six, Morgan was linked to the much younger Benjamin Benalloul. After going public with one another in April 2013, Morgan and Benalloul casually dated and once filming on the Bravo series began, Benalloul made a couple of appearances. However, the relationship didn't last.
In Sept. 2013, Morgan was spotted "cozying" up with "Bachelor" star Lorenzo Borgese. Several months later, Benalloul confirmed he and Morgan were no longer dating and claimed they hadn't been dating for nine months.
Speaking to Radar on Aug. 20, Morgan said she had no intensions of filming with her new flame, Svanda, because of what the show did to her relationship with Benalloul.
"The Real Housewives of New York City" recently wrapped its sixth season and thus far, there has been no confirmation of a seventh season. In recent years, the show has taken a hit in the ratings and season six was no different.
Hopefully, Bravo came make the necessary adjustments to bring the show back and make it better than ever. If not, the show may be destined for cancelation.
