Sonja Morgan, who went from socialite to celebrity on Bravo TV’s series the Real Housewives of New York, attended a benefit last week at David Yurman’s townhouse for the Jeffery Fashion Cares organization. The David Yurman event provided shoppers the opportunity to purchase David Yurman items and have a portion of the proceeds to go back to Jeffery Fashion Cares. Sonja Morgan was one of many socialites from New York City in attendance at the event. In addition to Sonja Morgan, New York Firefighters were in attendance as well as Paul Jowdy from Details Magazine and Chaske Spencer.
Jeffery Fashion Cares started in 1992 in Atlanta, GA and has raised awareness for HIV/AIDS as well as members of the LGBTQ community. In 2003, Founder Jeffery Kalinsky brought his fashion benefit event to New York City and since then has been able to raise $4 million for LGBT and LGBT youth charities throughout the city of New York. The main event thrown by Jeffery Fashion Cares is a fashion show and reception benefit which is held in the spring. This year’s event will be held on March 28, 2011 from 7:30pm to 11pm and will include a fashion show, reception, silent auction and live auction.
