Sonic stop on order in Kearny Mesa

The 100 percent pure beef cheeseburger order skating carhops deliver at America's drive-in will soon show up in on the go park-in car stalls drivers will park in off Kearny Villa Road. South of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard the national Sonic franchise has a foothold in the right place to head off the 163 freeway traffic.

Construction workers, in December, short of putting up the red and yellow signs, put together pieces on the roof and floors in the wood, and steel, restaurant stand covered with black tar paper. A dirt work lot not yet made ready for the car lines.

The stalls that welcome in drive-in diners who order, and eat, in their cars will stand on the excavated land.

A 2014 opening will bring in the ustomer car lines to the central San Diego location to look over the menu list that made the Sonic Drive-In name a contemporary classic. Busy customer traffic has never been hard on the old Elbowroom restaurant lot.

Work on building the Snoic service team already started. The word on hiring stays posted on a Now Hiring sign on a construciton fence.

Skating carhops stay on hand for the customers parked in stalls at the Sonic location on Mission Gorge Road in Santee, just a block west of Magnolia Avenue. Double cheeseburgers and lemon fruit slushes can add up to 25 pounds on the trays the skaters carry from the restaurant to the cars. Waits on the tray pickup, and a second order of drinks and desserts to go, can not drag on. Friendly service is timely service at Sonic.

Inside, the crew members stay on call to "have fun while at work." Taking orders from the drive-in boxes set up with a red order button, and, at the indoor ood and drink stations.

Passing through Kearny Mesa on Kearny Villa Road without spending money on a classic combo, next year, will be as foolish as driving past the Sonic on Mission Gorge Road in Santee.
