A couple of new entertainment options open this week, just in time for Mothers Day.

The Key West Songwriters' Festival set for Wednesday through Sunday, May 7 – 11, features America's foremost performing songwriters, with concerts staged in intimate, audience-friendly island settings i n the 19th annual event. Highlights include chart-topping RCA recording artist Sara Evans; Jeff Hanna, founding member of the iconic Nitty Gritty Dirt Band; the World Famous Headliners, a rock band composed of five leading songwriters and musicians; and many more, including a May 8 Garden Concert Series. Contact Charlie Bauer at 305-304-0814 for more information.

Additionally, the busy Marathon Community Theater presents: Marrying Terry, a romantic comedy set for various dates from Thursday, May 8, through Saturday, May 24.

The name Terry Adams is shared by a rare books librarian and a forgettable radiologist. One has booked the last room at the Drake Hotel in Chicago during a blizzard in the hopes of getting engaged. The other has reluctantly just gotten engaged and inadvertently celebrates a bit too much in the Drake's bar. Mistaken identities, out and out deception, delayed planes, missed phone calls and too many well-intentioned friends popping by are all part of this romantic comedy. Show dates are May 8-10, 15,16, 17, 18 (matinee), 22-24 and show time is 8 p.m., with the matinee at 3 p.m.
