Gluten-free cinnamon coffee cake muffins by GF Houston at A Moveable Feast
Celebrate 20 years of gluten-free education for Houstonians by attending "Living Gluten Free with Joy--a 20th anniversary celebration", on Saturday, September 19th from 1pm - 4pm. The Houston Celiac Support Group is sponsoring this event, to be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Drive at Blalock. Special guest speakers include Michelle Pietzak, MD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Children's Hospital, Los Angeles, John Libonati, President of Gluten-Free Works and President-elect of CSA/USA, Inc., and Janet Y. Rinehart, Chairman, Houston Celiac Support Group.
There will be lots of gluten free treats to eat, provided by Gluten Free Houston, Cakes by Monica, and JS Desserts. Please make sure you RSVP to Barbara Ferring at 281-358-0336 or firstname.lastname@example.org no later than September 16th.
If you are new to gluten-free eating, this is a perfect opportunity to learn a lot of things about adjusting to a gluten-free life. I always learn something at these meetings, and food will be very tasty, too!
Breads and several other items from Gluten Free Houston, such as cinnamon coffee cake muffins (pictured above), brownies and our new gluten-free, dairy-free, soy free breads are available now Monday - Saturday at A Moveable Feast, which is located in the Echo Lane Shopping Center, 9341 Katy Freeway, at the Echo Lane/Blalock exit. Thanks so much to all of my readers who have visited the store and bought some of our items. The store also now has an expanded gluten-free section right in the front, so keep visiting and I am sure they will expand the GF selection even further.
I will have announcements very soon about the availability of our GF breads and other items at two new retail locations in the Houston area.
Check out our website at www.gfhouston.com. We have some new information on there, including an entire new page about our gluten free cakes.
