If you love to talk about beer and love to drink it more, check out the Brewfest at Ski Sundown, http://skisundown.com located on 126 Ratlum Road in New Hartford this weekend on June 21 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. where you can talk to members of the CT Brewers Guild, a non- profit organization. Get ready to try some amazing beers from Belgian beer with a hint of grapefruit to a variety of choices from more than 30 local craft brewers.

One unique aspect of this brewfest, now in it’s 8th year is that festival goers actually have the opportunity to learn about craft beers because representatives from the brewers are on hand to talk about their beers.

There will be a table with Connecticut's "beer snob" Will Siss that will offer festival goers new to beer tasting many valuable tips on how to hold your own at a beer tasting and the steps to becoming an "official" beer snob. There will also be entertainment by Flyin' Blind, a popular rock band that will add to the festivities of this well planned event. Avon Prime Meats will be offering a selection of grilled goodies including their signature steak on a stick, pulled pork and chicken sausage.

The Brewfest, will be held rain or shine and offers a fun and educational opportunity for beer lovers to sample a variety of local Connecticut beers, learn about the process of micro brewing and a chance to actually meet the people brewing the beer. Tickets are $30 at the event.

You must be 21 or older to attend this event and a photo id is required. Designated drivers tickets are available for $20. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Connecticut Brewer’s Guild, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the craft beer industry in Connecticut.
