Something from nothing is everything

The idea that from nothing, something appeared magically, accidentally, inexplicably, and the ‘something’ that appeared, somehow, created another something that mysteriously blended with other somethings, evolving into even more somethings, without leaving a trace linking one something to another.

All this supposedly makes sense and is acceptable by explaining that it all happened arbitrarily over the course of hundreds of millions of years.

Then, we are told there is no way anyone can ever really know what actually happened, and thus, we are urged to faith in the unobserved, confidence in what can never be verified, and trust in the completely unexplained.

Based on a complete lack of information, and zero understanding, amounting to a belief in Nothingness, we are then encouraged to reject God and believe our eternal destination will be safe and secure and sound.

Translation: we have no idea where we came from, and we have no idea where we are headed, but we are certain you should join us on our journey to nowhere, for no reason, with no purpose.

[Hence our college cheer in 1971: “Big Deal! So What? Who Cares?! Why Bother?!?!”]

Summation: believe nothing, act on nothing, and assume everything.

When you consider this twisted thinking, driven home for decades by drug abuse, any wonder the country is in deep trouble?
