Are you looking for a unique dining experience? Would you enjoy sampling some local Midwest wines? You don’t have to choose because with Somerset Ridge Vineyard & Winery, you can have both. Somerset Ridge Vineyard & Winery is located in Paola, KS and on 2 different dates, they will be featuring a farm to table dinner.
2L Farms, a family run sustainable farm will be partnering with Somerset Ridge to provide a 4-course meal. For starters, you will be served hors d’oeuvres during a cocktail hour. For the main course, the chef will be preparing a meat dish using 100% grass-fed beef from 2L Farms.
The main course is scheduled for sunset and will be served al fresco at the vineyard complete with white linens. The meal will be complemented by live jazz music, performed by one of Kansas City’s best jazz bands. After the main course, dessert will be served by candlelight. All 4 courses will be paired with Somerset Ridge wines. The farm to table event will last approximately 3 hours. Enjoy a perfect Midwest summer evening while supporting local businesses.
With over 20 wines ranging from dry to sweet dessert wines, there is sure to be one to your liking. Somerset Ridge Buffalo Red (semi-sweet) was the winner of Best Red Wine at the Kansas State Fair. Oktoberfest (semi-sweet white German style) was a Jefferson Cup winner, earning a spot on the top 20 wines in the country. Their Riesling wine is the first Riesling grown and produced in the state of Kansas. How about an apple dessert wine? Avalon is made with Louisburg Cider Mill apples, which is located not far from the winery.
