These dogs don’t stand a chance. Why? Because they are pit bulls and most pit bulls don’t make it out of Garland alive.
Diamond ID#A152225 is a little three month male who doesn’t know what he did wrong to deserve being here.
Oreo ID#A152224 is a little cookie who came in with Diamond and should be running at the dog park, not waiting to die.
This beauty doesn’t even have a name. Even though he’ll most likely be put to sleep, he is smiling. Let’s call him Smiley ID#A152655.
There are 63 dogs at the Garland Shelter today. According to American Humane Association statistics, over 1/2 the dogs deposited at shelters are euthanized. By those standard, these three don’t stand half a chance.
