High pressure will build across northeastern Ohio today. Scattered flurries will linger through the morning hours, especially across the snow belt. Skies will gradually become partly sunny across the entire area by this afternoon.
High temperatures today will reach the mid to upper 30s.
It will be partly cloudy tonight with lows falling to around 20 degrees.
On Friday, the high pressure system over the area will slide off to our east. Low pressure will move from the Dakotas, southeastward into the lower Great Lakes. Milder air will spread across the area in advance of this system along with deeper moisture. Clouds will gradually increase during the day with some rain showers possible, especially during the afternoon. The rain could be mixed with snow across the northern and eastern areas.
Highs on Friday will reach the low to mid 40s.
Rain and snow will increase across the area Friday evening as the storm passes to our south. Colder air will filter southward across the area and this will cause the rain to change to snow from north to south overnight. Some light accumulations are possible.
Lows Friday night will be in the mid to upper 20s.
The storm will move to our east Saturday morning, but moisture will linger across the region through the day. Scattered snow showers are likely during the morning with a few rain or snow showers lingering during the afternoon.
Highs on Saturday will be around 40 degrees.
Dry weather and sunshine are forecast to return for St. Patrick’s Day.
