I say, "lime it up!" Fresh cut limes in water is about the best thing you can drink because it is so good for you. Here are a few ways it can benefit you.

  • Alkalizes your body
  • Helps your liver rid your body of toxins
  • Alieviates joint problems such at gout and arthritis
  • Strengthens your immune system
  • Aids in digestion
  • Relieves constipation
  • Promotes heart health
  • Fights cancer

Since limes and water both have zero calories, drink all you want and skip the soda. Instead of lemon lime soda try this instead. You can always add a touch of stevia for sweetness and you still won't add any calories. We all know sugar is the main contributing factor in most health maladies. Americans consume about 150 to 180 pounds of sugar a year and look at some of the health problems that follows.

  • Diabetes
  • #1 cause of obesity
  • Tooth decay
  • Raises blood pressure
  • Causes inflammation

It's also important to read the labels to see how much sugar content is in the product. I mean some store bought juices have a whopping 39 grams of sugar! Out of all of the fruits, limes are the only fruit that contains 0 grams of sugar, so lime it up!
