It is an exciting time and many manufacturers are speaking our language called better living using Green Products.

Some of the new ones that caught my eye are the 3form Varia Ecoresin, these are transparent panels that can be used in doors, shelving and other interior applications. They are panels in either 4' x 10'sheets or 4' x 8' sheets. They are lightweight but very sustainable. They contain an interlayer comprised of shredded 3form catalogues. A very cool look.

SolTech Energy Sigma glass clay roof tiles combined a roof tile with a solar thermal system that works with all central heating types. A solar array can be installed underneath a roof of this kind and can be connected to your central heating system. This can save money on your heating bills.

For our vacuuming needs Beam Alliance by Electrolux has come up with a quiet vacuum system that removes 100% of the dust and allergens without stirring up dust. The vacuum also uses 30% less energy than traditional motors.

Another first from Formica features a solid surface for countertops using 100% post consumer waste. Each sheet contain 1000 recycled Styrofoam cups. This e-series is GREENGUARD certified and has a recycled content of 15% post consumer waste. The sheets are offered in 6 different colors.

Love this last one I will talk about today. It is Schneider Home Energy Management System. This system allows homeowners to control lighting, heating, security, electronics and cooling. It has energy saving devices such as vacation mode, automatic shut off of lights and electronic, and helps homeowners save up to 30 per cent on their energy bill. There is a tracking device so you can track energy in real time.

These are just a few new options. As we become more savvy to helping our environment stay GREEN more and more manufacturers will offer new products.

I am confident we are becoming a more sustainable society and will continue to more forward in that direction.

Thank you for keeping our environment safe.
