Recently, Telltale Games-- the company behind the remakes of the Monkey Island series and the new Sam and Max games-- debuted a mysterious trailer that seems to indicate that a crossover of epic proportions is about to take place. In the video below, you'll see characters from Penny Arcade, Sam and Max, Team Fortress, and (last but certainly not least) Strongbad all in one glorious frame. What's going on? Keep on reading, my gentle Examiner readers...
Anything even remotely related to Sam and Max, Strongbad, or the Monkey Island series is worth a mention here at Comedy Examiner HQ. If something were to come along that combines elements of all of these things-- along with what appears to be a character from the popular online FPS Team Fortress 2-- then that's not just worth a mention, that's worth throwing a godd-mned picnic over. Telltale Games is behind the mysterious trailer below, but as of now, there's no telling what they're up to.
Could be a fighting game. Could be an elaborate RPG where your party will be composed of some of the funniest video game characters of all time (Oh, man, that'd be awesome). Could be that Telltale Games is just trying to bait geeks into a complete frenzy, and it's just a cruel prank. Probably not, but it's not impossible. We'll have to wait and see what they're up to this Thursday. In the meantime, check out this trailer and let your mind conjure all manner of great things:

Could be (looks like) a card game. Hopefully not just poker, but if the voice work's done right, I'd still play it.
It's probably just an add for the Universal Fighting System. It's a collectible card game, and Gabe and Tycho already have decks out for it. Some other intellectual properties in the UFS system include Street Fighter and Darkstalkers, among others. So, while it's not as interesting as a video game combining them all, it still may be interesting (Except that from what I've seen UFS is a total flop)
It's a card game, from the looks of it. Each of them is holding three cards, which eliminates a lot of standard poker options.
