Some of Connecticut's best playgrounds and play spaces

It may sometimes feel hard to believe however, the weather will improve and kids will be able to run, jump, leap and climb other places than the furniture!  Connecticut offers some of the finest play areas (both outdoor and in) around.  Here are a few worth noting:

  • Jonathan's Dream Boundless Playground - West Hartford.  This 25,000 square foot area is built for kids of all ages with or without disabilities.  Also, free entry and free parking!  For more information call, 860-243-8315.
  • The Great Escape - Glastonbury.This family entertainment center features a four level playscape with a 6 foot slide and arcade.  For kids one to twelve years.  The arcade is pay as you play, the playscape $6.95 ages two and up and $3.95 two and under.  Adults are free.  For more info visit: www.greatescapect.biz.
  • Jump Zone - Canton.  Visit this 9,000 square foot outside play area and if the weather gets rainy move inside to the inflatable arena featuring giant inflatables.  For kids one to twelve.  For more info visit: www.jumpzoneparty.com.
  • Bushnell Park and Carousel - Hartford. Visit America's first public park.  Ride the antique carousel and experience the children's play and learning environment.  For more info, visit: www.bushnellpark.org.
