Shirley Cannan, owner and operator of Fallin' Pines Critter Rescue, Inc., is taking in many orphaned squirrels at her Christmas facility. "It's baby squirrel season and we are syringe-feeding baby grey and flying squirrels," Cannan said.
"We are in need of used t-shirts (can be stained or torn) but must be from non-smoking households. T-shirts only please, for they are warm, absorbent & the squirrels nails don't snag, like they do on towels."
The organization is also in need of blankets, comforters and sleeping bags for the Wallaroo house.
Cannan added that monetary donations are always needed and that they currently are enlisting people for yard work and small repairs.
