A concise overview of the FCAT Reading results for school districts on the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County is listed below. While the areas of Math, Science and Writing are all equally important in achieving performance success, one cannot fail in thought to the realization that the better able an individual can read, then comprehend fully the concepts that must be understood to engage and obtain knowledge in all areas, then reading must not only be fundamental---it must be a high quality benchmark, then a fortified bulwark to fight the foe of ignorance which by definition is lack of knowledge, wisdom and even tolerance.
