Some e-mails are more equal than others

By this time you have heard the ridiculous explanation from Lois Lerner’s lawyers why it is impossible to turn over her e-mails sent between 2009 and 2011. We as taxpayers are expected to believe that one hard drive crash destroyed all these e-mails from her desktop, blackberry, home computer and the required by law hard copies. We are then expected to swallow the story that to help save the planet the offending hard drive was recycled.

Once the citizens bought the story it was easy to expand it to include eight other computers within the IRS. The lie like a contagion has now spread to the EPA (EPA) to cover for reports of mismanagement. It has even affected drives from Lois Lerner’s past at the Federal Election Committee. (FEC) It would seem one April Sands spent her days at the FCC campaigning for Barrack Obama. No one knows if she used her work computer because of what she learned from Lerner about hard drives.

All of these hard drives were not recycled for valuable parts like the rare earth magnets but sent to a shredder and dumped in a landfill. The backup tapes of these e-mails were also recycled by writing over the information contained on them with new backups every six months. We are told there is no way to retrieve these e-mails. They are lost in cyberspace.

What if each one of these government employees wasn’t just misusing their time on the dole? What if they were part of the one percent? The one percent under Obama is anyone with a full time job making over minimum wage. What if they were not paying their “fair share” of taxes how far would the administration go to retrieve their e-mails. It would seem they would go as far as Dublin to retrieve them.

It is apparent some e-mails are more important to the Obama administration then others. Eric Holders Justice Department claims Microsoft must hand over lost e-mails stored in Dublin. (E-mail suit) As of this time a local Magistrate has ruled in the Justice Department’s favor but Microsoft has appealed in a case set to be heard on July 31st. The irony of Holders justification almost defies belief. He claims that “electronic communications are used extensively by criminals of all types in the United States and abroad, from fraudsters to hackers to drug dealers, in furtherance of violations of US law."

Since they did not use terrorism, the catch all phrase for violating rights we can conclude they are going after corporate tax cheats. Dublin’s tax rates are below America’s and can be reduced even more by sending money thru the Netherlands to Bermuda. (Tax Havens) Since most tech companies save e-mails on the closest server this would allow the Obama administration to have a peek at the e-mails of the American companies that have located in Ireland for the tax advantages.

Is it any surprise where the administrations priorities lay? After collecting a record amount of revenue this first quarter of 2013 it still is not enough for the tax and spend crowd. (Historical tax revenue) After employing all these campaigners, mismanages, and tax hit men and women against conservatives they still have to hire someone to really work.

So that my loyal readers is why some e-mails are more equal than others and why some can be found and others lost for good.
