Rolling Stone published a long article on January 4 explaining how the bailout of 2008 and all the spending that followed was a fraud draining wealth from the American people.
Rolling Stone “exposes” government spending fraud
This article is proof that not all Democrats are “low-information voters” as expressed by Rush Limbaugh. What it does prove is that Ronald Reagan was right when he said,
"The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they're ignorant: It's just that they know so much that isn't so."
Mr. Taibbi approaches his subject from the Democrats’ point of view. He expresses the debacle in terms of Obama and the Democrats being fooled by Wall Street, the banks, and Republicans saying the bailout started with President Bush. He credits a few “smart” Democrats with stopping the bill early on, but then falling for the revamped scam. What he never acknowledges is that Democrats controlled Congress for the two years prior and that it was Republicans who were voting against the bailout and stimulus bills.
They also refuse to admit that Bush was against the bills and that Democrats were the ones pushing the agenda, so much so that Speaker Pelosi held back signing for all the trillions to be spent from Bush and gave the bills to Obama to sign into law. They have been and remain oblivious that everything Obama and the Democrats have said they will do to help the country they have done the opposite to the country.
Nobody cares about economic history
While studies have proven that the typical “low-information voter” are those who profess to be Independents that don’t pay attention to politics and vote based on the latest advertisement they see through the mud-slinging, the ideologues of both Parties form the foundation of their voters. Despite a century of proof that Democrats suck the wealth out of the middle class and give it to their rich friends, liberals continue to believe that “Democrats are for the working man, Republicans are for the rich man.”
This proof shows the average Democrat to not be a low-information but a mis-information voter. Examining a hundred years of Democrat policies vs. Republican policies reveals the fraud in their faith, yet these devout Leftists continue to follow blindly and vote for that which is destroying them. Obama and the Democrats were not “fooled” into running a $1.5 trillion dollar deficit without publishing a budget for the past four years.
An addendum to the old saying says it best;
“Just as you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink, you can lead a liberal to the truth but you can’t make him think.” – Dustin Koellhoffer
