Beatles and Beatle-related events on July 23:
- July 23, 1964: The Beatles are featured in "The Night of a Hundred Stars" along with such name as Sir Laurence Olivier and Judy Garland. They do a flying ballet sketch and brief musical set.
- July 23, 1945: Dino Danelli of the Young Rascals, whose looks were compared to Paul McCartney, is born.
- July 23, 1947: David Essex, who played Jim McLaine, a Paul McCartney-like character in 1974 film "Stardust" co-starring Adam Faith and Larry Hagman, is born. In this sequel to "That'll Be the Day" Keith Moon reprises his role of J.D. Clover from the earlier film with Ringo Starr. Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe are also in the cast. It's not on DVD in the U.S.
- July 23, 1960: Grosvenor Ballroom, Wallasey.
- July 23, 1961: Blair Hall, Liverpool.
- July 23, 1962: Kingway Club, Southport.
- July 23, 1966: Stevie Wonder's version of Bob Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind" enters the charts on its way to #9.
- July 23, 1968: "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey" is completed.
- July 23, 1969: Begun as "Ending," the song "The End is recorded. Also vocal work on "Oh! Darling" and "Come Together."
