July 12, 1964: The Beatles appear at the Hippodrome Theatre in Brighton with The Fourmost and The Shubdubs, whose drummer, Jimmy Nicol, would later fill in for Ringo Star on the Beatles' world tour when he became ill.

July 12, 1962: (lunchtime) Cavern Club; (nightime) Majestic Ballroom, Birkenhead.
July 12, 1962: The Rolling Stones make their performing debut at the Marquee Club in London.
July 12, 1964: "The Ed Sullivan Show" repeats the Beatles' first live television appearance on the Sullivan show from February 9.
July 12, 1968: "Don't Pass Me By" completed and two mono mixes of "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" are prepared.
