A soldier that is stationed overseas was speaking on FaceTime with his pregnant wife when the most horrible thing imaginable happened. The Huffington Post reported on Nov. 3, 2013, that Justin Pele Poole, an American soldier stationed in Asia, was on FaceTime with his pregnant wife when he witnessed an intruder enter their home and stab her.
31-year-old Rachel Poole was rushed to a hospital in critical condition after a man, who had reportedly been hiding in her Texas home, stabbed her repeatedly. Poole was on the phone with her husband at the time and she was also nine months pregnant.
Police reports state that 19-year-old Corey Bernard Moss hid in Poole's home and stabbed her with a stainless steel knife when she got home. Word is that Moss was angry over money that Poole owed him for car repairs.
Doctors at the hospital had to perform an emergency cesarean section, and baby Isabella was born healthy and without incident.
During the attack, Poole recognized her attacker and started shouting his name over and over again to her husband on FaceTime.
Moss was apprehended by Fort Bliss Military Police and turned over to the custody of the El Paso Police. His bond was originally set at $60,000, but it appears as if it has been raised to $150,000. Hood is also a soldier in training at Fort Bliss.
Fort Bliss Spokesman Major Joe Buccino stated, "The stabbing victim's husband is deployed overseas in southwest Asia. He has been deployed about nine months."
