A soldier opened fire on fellow soldiers at Fort Hood this evening. Multiple injuries are being reported. The shooter is reportedly dead.

“Any shooting is troubling. Obviously this reopens the pain of what happened at Fort Hood five years ago,” said President Barak Obama.

The injured personnel are being transported to Carl R. Darnall Medical Center and other local hospitals, according to Fort Hood’s Twitter feed. Four people are dead, reports NBC News. Another 11 are injured.

NBC has also named the alleged shooter as 34 year old Ivan Lopez. The International Business Times confirmed Spc. Lopez was an active duty soldier. CNN has not offered up the shooter’s name but has said he wore fatigues and used a semi-automatic weapon. The shooter died as a result of a self inflicted gun shot wound, according to the Huffington Post.

Fort Hood is located in Killeen, Texas. The “all clear” has been issued although the situation is still under investigation.
